How the PBSP-CTRD started

The Center for Rural Technology Development (CRTD) was created and established by the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) in its aim to answer the needs of the country’s agricultural sector.

CRTD, for almost thirty years, has devoted its efforts in developing, testing, validating, and disseminating appropriate technologies to respond to the needs of farmer-partners, extension workers, agriculturists, researchers, agricultural technicians, and other clients.

In line with its efforts, CRTD has developed Bukid ng Buhay (BUKHAY) or Farm of Life Integrated Farming Systems, which follows the principles of diversification, integration, optimum resource management, gradual shift to organic farming, and entrepreneurship.
